Hey Mixed Media Society Member!

I hope you've been having a FAB week :) I'm super excited to introduce you to a brand new classroom this week that's FILLED with Artist Interviews!

I've already got SIX artist interviews ready and waiting for you to enjoy!

Each interview is about an hour long and gives each artist the opportunity to share about her favorite art supplies, the techniques she enjoys using and more like how to balance art and mom life (NO EASY TASK my friend!!).

Haven't Had Time to Art Lately?

That's ok! Life happens, and it can be hard for all of us to set aside some precious "me-time" to art. Just remember, you can stop and start a lesson as many times as you want to need to. You NEVER have to complete an entire lesson in one sitting. Take as much time as you need to go at your own pace. There's no race to get through ANYTHING.

If you've been away for a bit, here's what we've been up to lately...

Thanksgiving Art-Along on Canvas

We had the best time creating this Gather Canvas just in time to hang before Thanksgiving dinner :) In case you've missed it - the old "office hours" zoom call format has changed, and morfed into an art-along, which is WAY more fun for members and for me! If you'd like to do this project, it's super simple and fun and can totally hang in your kitchen or dining room year-round.

Mastering Skin Tones in Various Mediums

Throughout the summer and early fall, we've done some really amazing projects in various mediums from acrylics to Tombows and watercolors - experimenting with techniques to create beautiful light, medium and dark skin tones. The student growth I've seen coming out of these lessons has been amazing. I'm SO proud of everyone who has participated. If you haven't had time to do these yet, this might be a great place for you to find some lesson inspo!!
