As you'll see in the lesson, I DID use stabilo on his face, and it was a giant mistake. So heed this little warning, and DO NOT USE STABILO for his face 🤣 The stabilo works perfectly for the beard & the fluff in his cap - just not on the face.
As always- use whatever mixed media art supplies YOU love most! Here's what I used...
Canvas or Canvas Panel (or Art Journal or really anything!) Just make sure the background is painted or gessoed white before you begin.
I'm using this: https://amzn.to/47VMzHX
Black Carbon transfer paper: https://amzn.to/3ajeau0
BIG 12 piece set of my Favorite Acrylic Brushes https://amzn.to/2SOvdfe
Artist Sponges for Pouncing color: https://amzn.to/3v1gGeA
Acrylic Paint White, Red, Black, Sap Green and Any Skin and Eye Color
I used these from my Lukas Cryl set sold at Jerry's Artarama:
My Pentel Pocket Brush Pen actually saved me and I should have started with it instead of ending with up but alas, live and learn! https://amzn.to/3WIhj9g
Copic Opaque Paint with Brush https://amzn.to/3Dfr1ZW
And a fun polka dot stencil to boot! Something like this would be perfect if you don't have any https://amzn.to/3RlGjDW

What Fans Are Saying
Karen, you are absolutely fabulous! You make me feel like I can draw anything. I have recently retired and finally have the time to do some of the art that I have loved since I was in school. I am really at the beginning of my art journey and I hope to learn as much as I can. Thank you for all you do.
