Merry Christmas Mixed Media Society member!! I thought we'd squeeze in ONE MORE holiday painting in before New Year's! I saw this ADORABLE Santa plate at a local shop and knew I just HAD to paint him!! *If you're not celebrating Christmas or are plain old holiday-ed out* scroll down because this post is CHOCK FULL of alternative project suggestions for you inside the Mixed Media Society to HELP YOU strengthen and ENJOY your growing mixed media art skills. *All product links are affiliate & for U.S. residents only.* As you'll see in the lesson, I DID use stabilo on his face, and it was a giant mistake. So heed this little warning, and DO NOT USE STABILO for his face 🤣 The stabilo works perfectly for the beard & the fluff in his cap - just not on the face. As always- use whatever mixed media art supplies YOU love most! Here's what I used... SuppliesCanvas or Canvas Panel (or Art Journal or really anything!) Just make sure the background is painted or gessoed white before you begin. What Fans Are SayingKaren, you are absolutely fabulous! You make me feel like I can draw anything. I have recently retired and finally have the time to do some of the art that I have loved since I was in school. I am really at the beginning of my art journey and I hope to learn as much as I can. Thank you for all you do. |
