Create GORGEOUS Skin Tones Using Tombow Dual Brush Pens with Me in the Mixed Media Society!23/7/2023 Hey!! I'm SO excited to bring you your VERY FIRST Mixed Media Society members-only blog article! My goal with the members-only blog is to help you stay up to date on what's happening inside your mixed media art club membership so you can make the most of it and have THE BEST TIME! Because let's be honest, that's WHY we're here, right?! To have FUN with our art?! All links are affiliate and are for U.S. residents - always use what you have on hand! If you've been following along weekly in the club, we are currently working in the Skin Tones Classroom and learning about how to use Tombows to create gorgeous skin tones in our mixed media portraits. Last week I showed you how to create the girl above and how to add GESSO to your Tombows to aid with blending and eliminate streaking. Pretty cool trick, right?! 👉If you haven't had a chance to do this 1-Hour lesson yet, click here to get started. 👉If you don't already have a set of Tombows in your art supply stash, you can add a pretty cheap starter pack of 10 skin tones from Amazon for $17, or run over to your local art store. One of the MAIN reasons artists (even FINE ARTISTS!) reach for Tombows is because of their afforable price point and because they offer SOOOOOO many freaking colors!! They're really an artist's dream :) 👉If you have a little more to spend and haven't picked up a set for yourself yet, or have tried smaller sets and want to invest in a bigger rainbow, you can grab a giant pack of 96 on Amazon for $137. This week, I'm releasing a *NEW LESSON* in this Skin Tones Classroom and can't wait to share her with you!! 👉Click here to enjoy the above 1-Hour lesson & get started!! Think these lessons look cool, but you're not sure if this classroom is right for you? I hear ya! Check out this video to see if you'll feel comfortable here. 👉Not feeling it with these Tombow lessons? But you don't know what you're in the mood to work on? No problem! Scroll through the Mixed Media Society VISUAL INDEX to find something else to work on!! Wanna Know What's Comin' Up?I hear ya!! You are NOT gonna want to miss a moment of August!! We'll continue our skin tone studies, but transition over to watercolor. In addition to lessons from me, you'll also be hearing from Lucy Brydon - my Scottish bestie who is a gorgeous watercolorist and co-teaches with me in the Celtic Collective! I HAVE A GIANT SURPRISE for you... I've been fan-girling over Polina Bright FOR YEARS and ONLY use her amazing watercolor brushes! (Enter code KARENCAMPBELL to save 10% on your order. I like that you can click and get right to the lessons. I bet this will really help the new members who just joined. I know if you are wonderbundler that the pages really help to navigate and know where you are on lessons.

What Fans Are SayingKaren, you are absolutely fabulous! You make me feel like I can draw anything. I have recently retired and finally have the time to do some of the art that I have loved since I was in school. I am really at the beginning of my art journey and I hope to learn as much as I can. Thank you for all you do. |
